Gear

The gear you carry isn’t everything but it sure does help!

Here’s my latest list of what gets me by when I head into the woods for a solo 2 night canoe trip with my dog.

Note: The total weight of around 89lbs is the total weight including

food, water, camera gear, dog gear and canoeing gear… including the canoe!. This is basically what I would be carrying on a portage.

The actual base pack weight with no camera gear, dog gear, food, water or canoeing gear is just over 25lbs.
